HeyAtty is an online technology platform that helps users discover, learn about, and connect with independent attorneys.

HeyAtty is not a law firm, does not practice law, and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal services.

Information available through HeyAtty is provided for informational and discovery purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.

2No Attorney-Client Relationship

Using HeyAtty does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and HeyAtty.

Submitting information, searching for attorneys, viewing attorney profiles, scheduling a consultation, or communicating through the platform does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship with an attorney.

An attorney-client relationship may be established only through a separate agreement between you and an attorney.

HeyAtty is not a party to any attorney-client relationship between users and attorneys.

3Attorney Search and Discovery

HeyAtty allows users to search for and explore attorneys based on information such as:

• Information provided by the user
• Search criteria and selected topics
• Attorney profile information
• Practice areas
• Location or jurisdiction
• Availability
• Other search-related factors

HeyAtty does not endorse or recommend any particular attorney and does not determine whether an attorney is appropriate for your specific legal matter.

The order or appearance of attorneys in search results should not be interpreted as a statement that one attorney is better, more qualified, or more suitable than another.

You are responsible for evaluating and selecting any attorney you choose to contact or retain.

4Automated and AI-Assisted Features

HeyAtty may use automated technologies, including artificial intelligence, to help organize information, identify potentially relevant search topics, improve search functionality, or assist users in navigating the platform.

Any automatically generated topic, category, filter, summary, or similar output is provided solely to support search and discovery.

Such outputs:

• Are not legal advice
• Are not legal conclusions
• Do not determine your legal rights or obligations
• Do not determine what type of attorney or legal service you require

You should review and confirm any suggested search topics or criteria before continuing.

5Independent Attorneys

Attorneys appearing on HeyAtty are independent legal professionals.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, attorneys are not employees, partners, agents, or representatives of HeyAtty.

HeyAtty does not control an attorney’s professional judgment, legal advice, legal strategy, fees, availability, communications, acceptance of a matter, or professional services.

Any legal services are provided solely by the attorney or law firm you choose to engage.

6Attorney Profiles

Attorney profiles may contain information provided by attorneys, law firms, public records, or other sources.

HeyAtty may take reasonable steps to verify certain information, including attorney identity or licensing information. However, HeyAtty does not guarantee that all information displayed on the platform is complete, accurate, current, or error-free.

You are responsible for independently evaluating an attorney’s qualifications, licensing status, experience, disciplinary history, fees, and suitability before retaining that attorney.

7No Guarantee of Results

HeyAtty does not guarantee that:

• An attorney will accept your matter
• An attorney will be available
• An attorney has handled a matter identical to yours
• A consultation will result in representation
• Any particular legal strategy will be appropriate
• You will achieve any particular legal outcome

Past experience, reviews, ratings, profile information, or other information displayed through HeyAtty does not guarantee future results.

8Information You Submit

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit through HeyAtty.

Do not assume that information submitted to HeyAtty is protected by attorney-client privilege or attorney work-product protections.

Submitting information through HeyAtty does not itself create an attorney-client relationship.

You should avoid submitting information that you consider highly confidential unless necessary and unless you understand how that information will be handled.

Our collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy.

9Consultations, Fees, and Payments

Attorneys may establish their own consultation fees, legal fees, availability, and engagement terms.

HeyAtty may provide tools that facilitate scheduling or payment between users and attorneys.

Payment through HeyAtty does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee that an attorney will accept ongoing representation.

Any legal fees or terms of representation beyond a consultation are matters between you and the attorney.

Cancellation or refund terms may apply as displayed at the time of booking.

10Sponsored or Promoted Listings

HeyAtty may offer attorneys paid advertising, promoted listings, or enhanced visibility.

Where applicable, paid placements will be clearly identified as Sponsored, Promoted, or with similar language.

Payment for advertising or visibility does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by HeyAtty and does not mean that an attorney is more qualified or appropriate for your matter.

11Reviews and User Content

HeyAtty may allow users to submit reviews, comments, questions, or other content.

User-generated opinions belong to the users who submit them and do not represent the views of HeyAtty.

You may not submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, knowingly false, defamatory, threatening, harassing, infringing, or otherwise harmful.

HeyAtty may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or our policies.

12Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use HeyAtty for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
• Impersonate another person
• Submit intentionally false or misleading information
• Interfere with the security or operation of the Services
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems
• Improperly scrape or extract platform data
• Circumvent security or access restrictions
• Misuse attorney or user information obtained through HeyAtty

HeyAtty may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, attorneys, the platform, or the integrity of the Services.

13Intellectual Property

The HeyAtty name, branding, website, software, design, interfaces, graphics, and content created by HeyAtty are owned by or licensed to HeyAtty and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from HeyAtty content or technology except as expressly permitted by HeyAtty.

14Third-Party Services

HeyAtty may use or link to third-party services, including payment processors, scheduling services, authentication providers, or attorney websites.

HeyAtty does not control and is not responsible for third-party services.

Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

15Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HeyAtty and the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

HeyAtty does not make warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or suitability of the Services or information available through them.

HeyAtty does not warrant or guarantee the quality, competence, conduct, professional performance, or results of any attorney.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

16Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HeyAtty and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services.

HeyAtty is not responsible for the acts, omissions, legal advice, professional services, malpractice, representations, or conduct of independent attorneys.

HeyAtty is also not responsible for decisions made based on attorney profiles, search results, reviews, automated search topics, or other information available through the platform.

17Changes to the Services or Terms

HeyAtty may modify the Services or these Terms from time to time.

If material changes are made, HeyAtty may provide notice by updating the effective date, posting a notice on the platform, or using another method required by applicable law.

Your continued use of HeyAtty after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

18Termination

You may stop using HeyAtty at any time.

HeyAtty may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, misused the platform, created a security risk, or engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity.

19Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Your use of HeyAtty is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information.
