What we collect

We collect the information you provide when you create an account, complete a client profile or legal intake, book a consultation, or create a lawyer profile. This can include your name, email address, location, intake responses, appointment details, and any meeting link a lawyer provides.

How we use it

We use your information only to operate heyatty and facilitate the consultation you request. In particular, we use your email address and appointment details to send meeting invitations and appointment confirmations. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

When we share client information

When you book a call with a lawyer, we share the information needed for that lawyer to provide the consultation. This includes your contact and appointment details and, when you submitted one, your legal intake responses. The lawyer receives this information so they can prepare for and conduct your requested call.

We do not share a client’s intake information with lawyers who have not been selected for that booked consultation.

Lawyer profile information

Approved lawyer profiles are displayed publicly so clients can find and book consultations. Profiles awaiting approval are not publicly visible.

Calendar and meeting providers

When a lawyer chooses Calendly as their availability source, Calendly supplies consultation duration and open times. After payment, we send Calendly the client’s name, email address, time zone, selected appointment time, and an appointment reference to create and maintain the booking. Connected Google and Microsoft calendars selected for busy-time checks are used to prevent scheduling conflicts when Heyatty controls availability. When a lawyer selects one destination provider, we send that provider the client and lawyer names and email addresses, appointment time and duration, and an appointment reference to create and maintain an invitation and optional video meeting. Legal-intake answers are not included in any calendar events.

Service providers and security

We use service providers to host the service, store data, authenticate accounts, deliver appointment emails, and provide connected calendar and video-meeting features. They may process information only as needed to provide those services. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
